Ox & Pine’s customer service is honestly next level. You can see my original review below that still rings true to my needs but I had to come back on here to update this review and give five stars. The Ox & Pine team heard my concerns and to say they over delivered is an understatement. They heard me, knew what I needed & blessed me with something that fit my needs. Like I mentioned before, if this note book is something that you’re keeping on your desk, or possibly in a bag— this will more than likely work for you. If you need something beefier because you’re keeping it in your back pocket like myself, constantly sitting on it — this may not be the one for you, but that doesn’t mean you’re out of luck. Reach out to them & see what they can do for you. Thanks so much to the team, I have never experienced such great customer service in my life.
ORIGINAL: I bought this to keep in my back pocket but I soon realized that it is not made well enough for that. I had this delivered 9 days ago. That’s 9 days of it being in my back pocket. I’ve taken it out of my pocket maybe three times to access my pen and stitching is separating and glue is being undone. Another thing to note is the leather is pretty thin.
If you’re buying this to just have on a desk, maybe this could work for you but the construction still isn’t all that.
I’m into heritage stuff and things that last forever, this does not seem to be something that falls into that category, especially if you’re going to carry it daily on body.
I gave it 3 stars because I still appreciate that it was made by hand, the engraving was perfect & the fitment of the note pad is spot on.
If I were able to get a refund on it though, I would. Since it’s personalized, I’m sort of out of luck unless they see this and make an exception.
